Emily attended SMU's Meadows School of the Arts and the International Movement School of Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She is the Artistic Director of Dallas Children's Theater and an experienced actor, director, and educator. In addition to teaching acting and directing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, Emily worked in admissions for four years at SMU as an undergraduate student and traveled to the International Thespian Festival to recruit on behalf of the University. She spent her early career in New York City and later co-founded the ensemble theatre company Fair Assembly, an ensemble theatre company focused on Shakespeare and classic drama.
