Expand and Reinforce Teachable Moments from our Shows

After your class views a show at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts, a professional theater artist conducts a workshop using hands-on activities to emphasize important themes and concepts from the play.
Times: Dallas Children's Theater shows typically run 1 1/2 hours. Immediately following the show, each class staying for a Dramashop will be directed to an eating area for a 30-minute lunch break before the workshop begins. The Dramashop will then last one hour. (For example: if a show runs from 10:00-11:30 a.m. the Dramashop will begin at approximately 12:00 noon and last until 1:00 p.m.)
Number of Students: Up to 25 students per Dramashop (approximately one regular class size). This allows for adequate participation for each student. One classroom teacher must remain with each Dramashop class for the lunch and workshop.
Cost: $100.00 for each Dramashop workshop for up to 25 students.
Booking Information: Dramashops will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available for all performances.
To book a Dramashop together with your Field Trip: Reply 'Yes' to the Dramashop question on the Field Trip Booking Request Form you submit. The $100 per workshop fee will be added to your DCT Field Trip Invoice and will be due six (6) weeks before the performance date.
