More about TEEN BRAIN: THE MUSICAL
Book by Linda Daugherty
Music & Lyrics by Nick Martin

In the course of a single day, we see high school students dealing with the problems of relationships, homework, parents, and the turmoil inside their own brains. Besides the real life look at high school, the play explores the latest research about the teen brain: its rapid speed which is wired for technology, its neural awkwardness, impulsivity, multitasking, and its slow maturation of judgment and decision making. Towards the end of the play after an unchaperoned party, an accident forces the teenage characters to rethink who they are and what they want.

The Characters:
(Boys)
Austin- Cool jock ready to party
Ziggy- Nerdy class clown
J.J. - Nice guy

(Girls)
Dana- Sweet nice pretty girl
Holly- Quirky good girl
Ashley- Party girl who gets the guys
Sonya- BFF with Terry, class gossip who likes to party
Terry- BFF with Sonya, ready to talk about everyone to everyone
