LOCATION: DCT's Rosewood Center for Family Arts, 5938 Skillman St. at
Northwest Highway, Dallas, 75231

ROLES: seeking a SINGING & DANCING ensemble of ADULT ACTORS to portray a variety of human and fantastical characters from the beloved and award-winning animated film and stage play


REQUIREMENTS:
Please prepare 16 - 32 bars of an up-tempo musical theater song (Accompanist Provided - bring your own sheet music properly marked & in your key).
Readings from the script (please be familiar with material).
Bring Current Headshot/Resume/Sheet Music.

REHEARSALS BEGIN: August 26th, 2019

PRODUCTION DATES: September 21st – October 27th, 2019

OTHER INFO:
• Union Contracts Available.
• DCT is a member of the Equity Candidacy Program.
• Non-Union Adult Actors will receive a Performance Fee.
• Performances will take place at DCT’s Rosewood Center Baker Theater.
• Schedule includes weekday student matinees, weekend matinee, and evening performances.
• Perusal scripts will be available at DCT.

ROLES: Seeking a diverse ensemble of non-union adult actors to portray the following:
Lead Female (2 roles) Miss Nelson & Coach Viola Swamp
Lead Male (2 roles) Coach Armstrong & Principal Blandsworth
Miss Nelson’s Students (Four Kids)
Kenny – Quarterback, #30 – Smart, but lazy, can be a leader
Daniel – Wide Receiver, #88 – Class clown, mischievous, unfocused (Daniel doubles as Mabel, the Cafeteria Lady).
Patrick – Defensive Tackle, #63 – New kid, timid, a follower, a hard worker
Lauren – Cheerleader – Leader, smart, miss goody two shoes


REQUIREMENTS:

REHEARSALS BEGIN: Monday, August 12th, 2019 at Dallas Children’s Theater, then move to Eastfield College Performance Hall.

PRODUCTION DATES:
Preview Performances: Eastfield College, September 13th & 14th, 2019
Fall Tour: September 21st - November 23rd, 2019 (Thanksgiving off at home)
Local Holiday Performances:
Moody Performance Hall: December 1st - 6th, 2019
Richland College: December 7th - 13th, 2019
Winter/Spring Tour: January 10th - May 23rd, 2020
Main-stage run in Dallas at DCT: June 15th - July 2nd, 2020

OTHER INFO:
This is a non-union tour; EMC points cannot be earned.
• Company members must be at least 18 years of age.
• Schedule includes weekday matinee, weekend, and evening performances.
• Actors receive a weekly salary plus travel per diem, transportation and lodging.
• This is a coast-to-coast tour from New England to the Pacific Northwest.
• Perusal scripts will be available at DCT.
