Rosebud Players

DCT's Rosebud Players provides a unique class/performance opportunity for Ages 10 and up. Started in 2004, the Rosebud Players present all-youth full-length productions written and directed by one of our professional theater artists. The program was specifically designed for students who have taken one or more DCT classes. These productions include opportunities for actors as well as for "techies." Tuition is $100 per student.

When a robbery happens at a bakery who you gonna call? The M.E.C.D., the Maine Culinary Detectives. It’s up to them to identify the robber. Was it the cashier who wants to be a stand-up comic, or the baker who’s afraid of loud noises? Could it be one of the regulars-the dancer, the poet, the old woman? With the M.E.C.D. on the case we’ll finally know who stole the cookie from the cookie jar.

Auditions:
Tuesday, Dec. 9th - 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Open to Actors Ages 10 and up!

Rehearsals:     January 5-22 (Mon. - Fri. 4:30-6:30 p.m., Sat. 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
Performances:    Friday, Jan. 23, 7:00 p.m., Saturday Jan. 24, 1:30 p.m., Sunday Jan. 25, 1:30 p.m.
Location:    Rosewood Center For Family Arts, Robyn Flatt Studio Theater, 5938 Skillman, Dallas
Cost / Tuition:    $100

• Rosebud Players is designed for students ages 10 and up with some prior class or performance experience-at DCT or other locations.
• Actors must be available for all rehearsals and performances.
• Each Actor and Techie will receive two free tickets to the show.
To sign up for an audition: Complete the registration form and return to DCT with the $100 fee. Actors who are not offered a role will receive a full refund.    All actors will be required to attend the entire audition session Tuesday December 9, 4:30-6:30 p.m. Beginning December 1, selected scenes will be available to check out from the front desk at DCT- scripts cannot leave the building.
