TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - Full Time
Dallas Children's Theater seeks a creative & innovative Technical Director to join its production team. Candidate requires MFA in technical theater or a BFA and high-level of professional experience. Candidate must also possess excellent carpentry skills, welding experience, AutoCAD proficiency, rigging experience, and stage machinery experience. Budgeting, time management, scheduling, and interpersonal skills are a must. Knowledge of scenic painting, soft goods, and foam carving desirable. Technical Director will produce construction drawings, manage crew of 4-6 carpenters & painters, and work with Design Director in planning and managing construction, load-in and strike of 10 shows a year, plus special events, in three spaces as well as one touring show.
