Show: Mufaro’s Beautiful Daughters

A Caldecott Award winning Cinderella tale! When a great African king desires a wife, only the most worthy and beautiful maidens in the land are invited to meet him. Mufaro’s pride and joy, his two daughters of very different dispositions, travel across a river and half a day’s journey to go before the king. Traditional chanting, drumming, African song and dance infuse the drama and set a lush background for this triumphant celebration of goodness, generosity and love.

Production Dates: (Fall) Sept. 19 thru Nov. 26, 2008 plus special student matinee performances in Dallas from December 2 thru 19, 2008; (Winter/Spring) Jan. 14 thru May 17, 2009 with a possible break Easter week.
